We are looking for
Structural Analyst, GLS RoRo Projects
The position is support to MacGregor GLS RoRo, position to be located in Gdynia.
Your focus area will be making simulation analysis within allocated Contracts and support in R&D activities and development of calculation processes for Shipyards and Ship-owners in RoRo division.
This includes all calculations of loads into ship structures for stiffening of hinges, securing devices, on steel structures for navy contracts, calculations according to land codes for passenger gangways and linkspans and heavy load calculations on existing structures. Moreover you will be making special simulations such as buckling and fatigue calculations, if necessary. You will, together with your team members, be responsible for defining load cases for primary structure and load carrying fittings in cooperation with item responsible.
You will also take care of planning, coordinating and leading work with subcontracted strength calculation teams and also creating strength approach document within contract. Furthermore you as structural analyst will be responsible for Supporting Project Team with all deviations from contract with technical or commercial impact and taking part in contacts and meetings with Classification Societies and customers.
We are looking for a candidates:
- experience on similar position will be an asset;
- graduate with an technical degree (e.g. MS Science, Mathematics, Mechanical engineering, Mechanics and related.);
- advance knowledge of ANSYS programme;
- basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor;
- 3d BIM will be an asset;
- fluent English in written and spoken;
- focused on details;
- logic & analytical mind-set;
- strong organizational & skills;
- problem solving attitude (researching, analysing, decision-making.
